Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday that Jackson is "definitely doing better" in his recovery from a sprained left ankle, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson was held out of Sunday's 30-23 overtime win over the Falcons due to a left ankle sprain that he sustained during the Ravens' Week 4 win over the Titans. Minter added that he wasn't sure whether Jackson would be cleared to practice Wednesday, and the superstar quarterback's participation during Week 6 prep ultimately will determine whether he or Tyler Huntley starts against the Browns on Oct. 18.

Jackson (ankle), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, has a "real chance" to return to action next week against Cleveland, pending how he responds to rehab, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Jackson didn't practice in any fashion this week after he was sidelined for the entire second half of last Sunday's win over the Titans, but the Ravens remain optimistic that his ankle injury is a short-term concern. Though Tyler Huntley will get the starting nod in place of Jackson against Atlanta, Rapoport notes that the Ravens' franchise quarterback has been "in the building early working crazy to get himself back on the field" this week. Assuming the rehab work Jackson has put in translates into him returning to practice at some point next week, he should be able to meet his goal of playing after a one-game absence.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said that Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.

After spraining his left ankle during this past Sunday's win over the Titans, Jackson missed the entire second half and was unable to practice at all in Week 5. As a result, the Ravens' decision to rule Jackson out for Week 5 comes as little surprise. Tyler Huntley is lined up to start in Jackson's place after he handled first-team reps in practice this week.

Swift rushed nine times for 43 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of five targets for 30 yards in the Bears' 31-7 loss to the Packers on Sunday.

With Kyle Monangai (toe) inactive, Swift had the clear-cut lead role in the Bears' ground attack Sunday, but game script progressively worked against him. The veteran back was able to somewhat salvage his fantasy day with a one-yard touchdown run just inside the two-minute warning in the first half, his first score since his three-TD day in Week 1 against the Panthers. Swift also posted his second-highest reception, receiving yardage and target totals of the season, and it remains to be seen if he'll get another game without Monangai when the Bears visit the Falcons next Sunday.

Swift (hip/knee) was a full participant in Friday's practice and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Packers.

With Swift progressing from a non-participant Wednesday to limited Thursday and full Friday, he appears set to lead Chicago's backfield in Week 5, especially after Kyle Monangai (toe) was ruled out and deemed week-to-week. Swift should be in line for a significant boost in snaps and touches with Monangai out of the picture against Green Bay, though Roschon Johnson will certainly be a factor, just maybe not to the extent Monangai had been out of Chicago's backfield.

Swift (hip/knee) returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday, Sean Hammond of the Chicago Tribune reports.

This is progress for Swift, who did not practice to begin the week Wednesday. Notably, backfield mate Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) also did not practice either day. Swift may be slightly ahead of Monangai in terms of his progress, but Friday's injury report will be the telltale sign for the Bears' backfield outlook going into the Week 5 matchup against the Packers.

San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Samuel strained his right hamstring "pretty good" during Sunday's 32-29 win over Seattle and is "going to miss at least a couple weeks," David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.

Samuel underwent an MRI on his hamstring following Sunday's game, and the results showed an injury significant enough for the veteran wide receiver to miss multiple weeks. Given the timeline laid out by Shanahan, Samuel looks set to sit out in Week 6 against the Commanders and Week 7 in Atlanta before potentially returning following the team's Week 8 bye. Shanahan indicated that Christian Kirk (calf) won't be ready to return from injured reserve this week, so the 49ers likely will head into the matchup with Washington with Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins as their available options at receiver.

Samuel is scheduled to undergo an MRI after exiting Sunday's 32-29 win over the Seahawks due to a hamstring injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Samuel sustained the injury with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter, when he was tripped up by a Seattle defender and landed awkwardly while fumbling the football as he fell to the ground. The upcoming MRI will shed more light on the severity of the hamstring issue, but Rapoport notes that the fact that the 49ers ruled Samuel out of Sunday's game immediately is a foreboding sign. If Samuel ends up sitting out Week 6 against the Commanders next Monday, the 49ers would be left with Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins as their healthy options at receiver.

Samuel (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Seahawks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Samuel exited Sunday's contest in the third quarter. The wide receiver caught two of his three targets for 21 yards and rushed twice for four yards before being ruled out. Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins are the four active wideouts remaining for the 49ers in Sunday's game.

Allgeier rushed three times for seven yards and caught both of his targets for nine yards during Sunday's 45-21 loss to the Lions.

Allgeier rushed eight times for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-24 loss to the Giants. He added two catches for seven yards on two targets.

Bateman caught five of six passes for 62 yards during the Ravens' 30-23 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday.

Bateman (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Bateman (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
