Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said Monday that Prescott will play in the team's regular-season finale on the road against the Giants on Sunday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Dallas currently sits at a 7-8-1 record and would finish the 2025 campaign at .500 with a win over New York in Week 18, giving Prescott something to play for even with the team already eliminated from playoff contention. The 32-year-old signal-caller has operated as one of the NFL's most efficient quarterbacks down the stretch, as he's averaging over 300 passing yards per game across seven appearances since the Cowboys' bye in Week 10, with 13 passing touchdowns and just four interceptions in that span.

Prescott completed 19 of 37 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys' 30-23 win over the Commanders on Christmas Day. He added 24 rushing yards on four carries.

For the second straight week, Dallas did most of its damage early, as Prescott led the team on four scoring drives in the first half before the Cowboys were held to just two field goals after halftime. Prescott is having a strong finish to the season, topping 300 passing yards in four of the last six games and throwing multiple TDs in four of the six as well, and his second touchdown toss Thursday gave him his fourth career 30-TD campaign. The Cowboys have a shot at finishing with a .500 record, which might be enough incentive to keep Prescott under center in Week 18 against the Giants.

Prescott completed 21 of 30 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Chargers. He added 14 rushing yards on two carries.

The veteran quarterback led the Cowboys to points on their first three drives, hitting Ryan Flournoy (knee) for a TD in the first quarter and finding George Pickens for a 38-yard score in the second, but the Chargers defense shut him down the rest of the way. With Dallas already eliminated from the playoffs, Joe Milton took over at QB for the team's final two possessions, and he could sub in for Prescott more frequently over the final two weeks. Prescott will still take a strong 28:10 TD:INT on the season into a Week 17 clash with the Commanders.

Croskey-Merritt (illness) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Croskey-Merritt missed practice Wednesday due to an illness, but he appears to have already returned to full health. He and Chris Rodriguez look positioned to split backfield reps again during Sunday's regular-season finale against the Eagles. With Rodriguez sidelined by illness himself in Week 17, Croskey-Merritt managed to rush for 105 yards and two touchdown on just 11 carries, momentum that could result in him seeing a larger share of the backfield workload versus Philadelphia.

Croskey-Merritt paced the Commanders backfield in place of an ill Chris Rodriguez last Thursday versus the Cowboys, taking 11 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Their fates have switched this week, though, as Rodriguez isn't listed on the injury report at all. As such, Rodriguez seems poised to take back a majority share of Washington's RB reps this Sunday in Philadelphia, even if Croskey-Merritt is well enough to play.

The rookie running back kept Washington in the game, scoring from 10 yards out in the second quarter before breaking free for a 72-yard touchdown in the third. Croskey-Merritt has now topped 100 rushing yards with multiple touchdowns in a game on two occasions on the season, and over the last three contests he's churned out 226 yards and four scores. Chris Rodriguez (illness) will likely be back in action in Week 18 against the Eagles, but Croskey-Merritt has done more than enough of late to retain a significant role in the offense for the Commanders' season finale.

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Friday that Mooney (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's season finale against the Saints but is expected to suit up, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

Mooney popped up as a limited participant on Thursday's practice report, but it looks like he's trending in the right direction to face New Orleans on Sunday. Morris said top wideout Drake London (knee) and tight end Kyle Pitts (knee) are both also listed as questionable but expected to play Week 18. Mooney has only exceeded 50 receiving yards or scored once across his last 10 regular-season appearances, having managed both feats when he secured all three of his targets for 74 yards and a score versus the Saints in Week 12. If cleared to play Sunday, he'll work to improve his lackluster production totals in a rematch against the division rival.

The knee injury appears to be a new issue for Mooney, given that he was not listed on Wednesday's practice report. His participation in Friday's practice will determine whether he enters Sunday's regular-season finale against the Saints with an injury designation. If Mooney is unable to play, then David Sills, Dylan Drummond and Deven Thompkins would be in line for more offensive snaps in Week 18.

Mooney caught two passes on three targets for 35 yards during the Falcons' 27-24 win over the Rams on Monday.

Mooney made a crucial 13-yard grab on third down to extend a drive that ultimately ended with a four-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Bijan Robinson. Mooney added a 22-yard catch late in the third quarter but was not targeted by Cousins again, resulting in a two-catch performance for a second consecutive week. Mooney has caught three passes or fewer in 13 of 14 regular-season games and has seen five targets or more in just six of those contests. The sixth-year wideout will take a 29-423-1 receiving line on 65 targets into Sunday's regular-season finale against the Saints.

White turned two carries into 10 yards and caught both of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Dolphins.

White was an afterthought on offense in Week 17, churning out his fewest rushing yards in a game this season, while the two carries were tied for his second lowest total on the year. The running back was able to reel in at least one pass for the 16th consecutive contest this season. With Bucky Irving back operating as the team's primary option in the backfield, White has turned into an unappealing fantasy option.

White rushed five times for 45 yards and brought in both targets for 15 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 loss to the Panthers on Sunday.

White finished with 9.0 yards per carry thanks almost exclusively to a 39-yard run he rattled off early in the second quarter. The versatile veteran back has averaged 4.8 yards per carry or more in five of the last six games, but he has logged double-digit totes just twice in that span while Bucky Irving continues to serve as the clear leader of the ground attack. White should continue in a similar change-of-pace role in a Week 17 road matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.

Mayfield (right shoulder/knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

The Buccaneers listed Mayfield as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice due to knee and right shoulder injuries, Brianna Dix of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

Mayfield completed 33 of 44 passes for 346 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while adding three rushes for 16 yards in the Buccaneers' 20-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He also committed two fumbles, losing one and recovering the other.

Tillman caught his lone target for 42 yards in Sunday's 13-6 win over the Steelers in Week 17.

Slayton recorded two receptions on three targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Raiders.
