McCarthy (ankle) is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks after sustaining a right high-ankle sprain in Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Falcons, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Vikings haven't provided an official timeline for McCarthy's return from the injury, but Carson Wentz will be in line to start at quarterback for at least this Sunday's game against the Bengals. Schefter notes that because the Vikings are playing overseas Weeks 4 (Sept. 28 versus the Steelers in Dublin) and 5 (Oct. 5 versus the Browns in London) before heading into a bye Week 6, the team could be inclined to err on the side of caution and hold McCarthy out for the next three games to give him sufficient time to heal up from the ankle injury.

O'Connell told Alec Lewis of The Athletic that Minnesota will get backup QB Carson Wentz ready for Sunday's game against the Bengals in the event McCarthy is inactive.

Coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that McCarthy has a sprained ankle, and it's unclear if he'll be available Sunday against the Bengals, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

McCarthy had a rough Week 2, completing 11 of 21 passes for 158 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions while turning five carries into 25 yards and losing one of his three fumbles during Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Falcons. If McCarthy ends up missing Week 3, veteran Carson Wentz is in line to step in and lead the Vikings offense.

Tracy was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a calf injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

After handling a 74 percent snap share during a Week 1 loss at Washington, Tracy fell all the way back to 42 percent in Sunday's loss in Dallas, while rookie Cam Skattebo jumped from 12 percent in the season opener to 52 percent Week 2. The result: Tracy recorded nine touches for 51 yards from scrimmage, and Skattebo had 13 touches for 59 total yards Sunday. Tracy's dip in usage may have been attributed to a health concern, and now his status will be one to monitor ahead of a Week 3 matchup with the Chiefs.

Tracy carried the ball five times for 15 yards and caught four of five targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 40-27 overtime loss to the Cowboys.

The second-year back tied for third on the Giants in targets with tight end Theo Johnson, but Tracy saw 2025 fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo emerge as a serious threat to his early-down workload with 45 rushing yards and a TD on 11 totes. Given that the 0-2 Giants could be playing from behind a lot this season, primarily being used on passing downs should still lead to a significant role for Tracy, but Skattebo's performance still doesn't bode well for his backfield mate's fantasy value. The split in touches between the two should become a little clearer in Week 3 against Kansas City.

Tracy rushed 10 times for 24 yards and caught two of five targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 21-6 loss to the Commanders.

Tracy failed to find any running room, though Devin Singletary and rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo were even worse, with a combined six rushing yards on five carries. Poor offensive play could limit the Giants' offense all season, but Tracy at least looks like the team's clear lead back to begin his second NFL season. Tracy will try to bounce back in Week 2 against the Cowboys.

McMillan finished with six receptions on 10 targets for 100 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.

The eighth-overall pick in this year's draft is living up to the hype, recording the first 100-yard receiving game of his career in just his second pro appearance. McMillan paced the Panthers in targets and yardage after accomplishing the same feat last week, as he's quickly become Bryce Young's most-trusted target out of the gates. The Arizona product is already making fantasy waves before scoring the first touchdown of his career, which is likely just around the corner given the wideout's 6-foot-5 frame and tremendous ball skills. McMillan belongs in starting fantasy lineups heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Falcons next Sunday.

McMillan caught five of nine targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.

The eighth overall pick in the 2025 Draft was the unquestioned top wideout for the Panthers right out of the gate, as he led the team in targets, catches and receiving yards in a mostly disappointing day for Bryce Young and the passing game. McMillan will need better performances from his quarterback to turn that kind of volume into consistent production, but it was still an encouraging start to his pro career. He'll look to make a bigger impact on the road Week 2 against the Cardinals.

Downs (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

It's perhaps unexpected, given that Downs' workload improved from Week 1 to Week 2, although his snap share (60 percent) and route share (63 percent) were still low relative to last year's numbers. He's getting the ball when he's on the field, at least, with a target on 31 percent of his routes for the season after finishing Sunday's win over Denver with a team-high eight targets. If Downs can't play this weekend at Tennessee, the Colts have Adonai Mitchell and Ashton Dulin as their top backups at wide receiver. Both would project for lower target rates than Downs, which would mean slightly higher rates for Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman.

Downs recorded six receptions on eight targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos.

Downs wasn't prioritized in the Colts' Week 1 offense, though he led the team in both targets and receptions in Week 2. He was busy early in the game, as he recorded two receptions for 29 yards on the team's first four offensive plays. Tyler Warren has quickly emerged as Daniel Jones' favorite target, leaving Downs as likely to rotate productive games with the likes of Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce.

Downs brought in two of three targets for 12 yards in the Colts' 33-8 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

As his final line indicates, Downs went through a very quiet afternoon in his first regular-season action with Daniel Jones as his quarterback. The dynamic third-year pro opened the season in the No. 2 role, but rookie tight end Tyler Warren, who drew a team-leading nine targets right out of the gate, is expected to cause a hit to Downs' opportunities over the course of the season. Additionally, No. 3 and No. 4 wideouts Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell accounted for another five looks from Jones, further clouding Downs' outlook heading into a Week 2 home showdown against a tough Broncos defense next Sunday.

Jones completed 23 of 34 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos. He added six rush attempts for two yards and a touchdown.

Jones completed 22 of 29 passes for 272 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and added seven rushes for 26 yards and two more scores in the Colts' 33-8 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Johnson "probably" won't be returning kickoffs against the Patriots in Week 3, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports.

Johnson rushed once for one yard during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Johnson rushed the ball once for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 34-32 win over the Jets. He also returned five kickoffs for 132 yards.

Bigsby did not see the field for any offensive snaps in his Eagles debut Sunday against the Chiefs.

The Eagles acquired Bigsby from the Jaguars on Monday in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Bigsby turned five carries into 12 yards and added a 20-yard kickoff return during the Jaguars' 26-10 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

Mitchell had two receptions for 20 yards on four targets in Sunday's win over the Broncos.
