Maniacs Tally 226.7 To Take Lead

John Gifford, Sr. Flies Up From 129th To 1st Place in Main

In a stunning week, John Gifford, Sr.'s Fantasy Maniacs moved up more than a hundred spots to take a nearly 20-point lead over Frank LaPrade's MoreCowbell in the 2020 FFPC Main Event. Congrats to LaPrade for having three teams in the top 12 as well! Leading a balanced attack for Gifford was Derrick Henry (36.2), Jonathan Taylor (30.5), Calvin Ridley (26.4), Tyreek Hill (26.1), Mike Gesicki (26), Kyler Murray (20.9) and Keenan Allen (20.2).

A.J. Kelsall's Mike Quick entry sprinted all the way up to third place with Steve Rizas' Pumpkinhead entry vaulting up to fourth. Rounding out the top five in the competition after one week of the Championship Round is Kimra Schleicher's Half Mill Thrill.

Michael Jenckes in 1st Place in 2020 FPC

While he didn't need to make the massive jump that Gifford did, Michael Jenckes' Week 14 score of 220.3 was still enough to get him into first place in the 2020 Footballguys Players Championship. Thanks in part to Aaron Rodgers' 33.8, Travis Kelce's 31.6, Taylor, Allen Robinson's 27.3, Hill and Brandon Aiyuk's 21.9, Jenckes now holds a 19.06-point lead over Curtis Hirsch's Fairways & Greens.

Vin Ubaldino's Pissed Off For Greatness and the Arlington Isotopes (owned by Sean Stevens) are each less than a point off of second place as they reside in third and fourth respectively. Vince Lucido completes this week's top five with his Crusader squad that finds itself fewer than two points out of second place as well.

Prizes in Player Accounts

Congrats once again to all regular season winners! Regular season prizes in all leagues have been distributed, and here is what you need to do to get your cash:

  • If you qualified for a cash prize in any league/event, it is now in your FFPC account. No further action is required on your part.
  • If you qualified for a prize with a choice of either cash or entry into one of next year's FFPC events, a Prize Selection window will appear on your MyTeams page. You can make your selection immediately or delay your decision to a later time. Once your selection is made, your prize will be placed into your FFPC account.

PRIZE WITHDRAWAL PROCESS

  • You are now able to submit your withdrawal request.
  • All prize distribution by the FFPC is processed via check by mail or ACH transfer ONLY.
  • Any cash withdrawal of $600 or more will require a W-9 to be filled out and will generate an IRS Form-1099 for the 2020 year.
  • Please fill out your online W-9 when requesting the cash during the online withdrawal process.
  • Any funds left in your FFPC account can be used for next year's registration. Only funds that are requested for withdrawal are subject to filling a W-9 form.
  • Prizes can be used for the World Famous FFPC Playoff Challenge

PRIZE-SPLITTING BETWEEN CO-MANAGERS

  • The FFPC offers prize splitting between owners and co-managers for a cash prize total of $2,000 or more.
  • The primary owner will always remain the sole legal prize winner and MUST authorize payment to his co-manager by writing/email. The primary owner may be required to fill out and sign an authorization form indicating the name & address of his co-manager and the amount he should receive. Both the primary owner and the co-manager will each fill out a W-9. Once these documents are received and approved by the FFPC, prizes will be released to both parties. At year’s end, both the primary owner and the co-manager will each receive IRS Form-1099 for their prize awards.
  • Please email Chris at chris@myffpc.com so she can help you initiate the prize-splitting process.

Grossman & Jenckes on FFPC Podcasts

On the latest Rotoviz Radio‘s The High-Stakes Lowdown podcast, I sit down with Adam Grossman, a high stakes player who has numerous FFPC best ball dynasty and FPC league championships to his name and who has a team in contention for the $500,000 grand prize in the the 2020 Footballguys Players Championship. In the episode, we talk about Diontae Johnson's drop problems, the rise of Brandon Aiyuk and much more.

You can check out a new episode of The High-Stakes Lowdown every Thursday during the NFL season on Rotoviz.com or wherever you get your podcasts. I’d also encourage you to check out all of the other great podcasts that Rotoviz Radio has to offer, too.

Then on Friday, yours truly and Ferrell Elliott talk to Michael Jenckes, the overall leader of the FPC heading into Week 15. We're going to discuss how he got there, the decisions on how he is going to try to stay there, and he'll give you some advice on starts and sits in the 2020 Fantasy Football Players Championship (FFPC) Main Event as well. As always, we also answer your calls, tweets, emails and more all on The High Stakes Fantasy Football Hour!
