Both Live and 1st Online Draft date is Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 6:00 PM Pacific (9:00 PM Eastern). The 2nd Online Draft date and time is Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at 4:00PM Pacific (7:00 PM Eastern).
The Main Event will be limited to a maximum of 300 teams with a $75,000 or greater Grand Prize, and a minimum of $8,000 in league prizes as well as other prizes (see the complete prize structure below). All prizes are guaranteed.
Prize Pool: Main Event prize money is deposited and secured in an attorney escrow account. All prize money is placed into this account for the duration of the season. Prizes are drawn from these funds and the checks are released by January 11th, 2010. Safe, secure and simple.
Costs: Entry fee is $1400 for both Live and Online Drafts. Add a $125 Event Fee for the Live Event; Total Cost: $1525. Food and beverage included plus complimentary alcoholic drinks for each team. NO co-manager fee and NO mandatory room stay requirement in the FFPC. NO hidden fees. Pay online, by mail or by fax. Checks, money orders and major credit cards are accepted. A $200 deposit is required or pay in full. If full payment is received by August 3rd 2009, you will receive your draft spot by the following weekend of August 8-9th. A sellout may occur prior to that however.
Format: The FFPC is comprised of 12 team leagues with 20 roster spots. The draft format is classic serpentine; 1-12, 12-1, 1-12, etc. The FFPC offers a new format to give more teams a chance at extending their regular season and winning prizes. The FFPC regular season is Weeks 1-11. The League Playoff is Weeks 12 & 13. The Championship Round and Consolation Round is Weeks 14-16.
Playoffs: At the end of the regular season, the 2 top seeds from each league each win $1,000 Regular Season prize and automatically qualify for the Championship Round, regardless of how they perform in the League Playoff. The 4 top seeds (including the 2 above) from each league will compete in the 2-week, Head-to-Head League Playoff in Weeks 12 & 13. The winners of the Week 12 match-ups will play each other in Week 13 for the League Championship. The losers will play for 3rd place in Week 13. The League Champion will win a berth in the Championship Round, if they have not already secured an automatic berth after the regular season. In other words, if Seed 3 or Seed 4 wins the League Championship, that team will also play in the Championship Round along with Seeds 1 & 2. A minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 teams per league will qualify for the Championship Round. Any League Playoff team which did not qualify into the Championship Round will enter the Consolation Round. The 8 teams from each league which did not qualify for the League Playoffs will enter the Toilet Bowl in Weeks 12-16.
Free Agents: The Free Agent process is via blind bidding. Each team will be given $1000 blind bidding “dollars” (not real money, just bidding dollars). The FFPC has extended the free agent time period (for playoff teams) beyond the 11-week regular season into weeks 12 and 13. All teams NOT qualifying into the League Playoffs will have their rosters locked at the end of Week 11 and will no longer have the ability to make free agent moves. There are no free agent moves for any teams in Weeks 14-16.
Roster/Scoring: The FFPC has retained the basics of the typical high-stakes scoring format, but added a few “tweaks” in an effort to add to strategy, roster management flexibility and scoring accuracy. The FFPC starting lineup allows for two (2) Flex positions, also known as the FFPC Dual-Flex. The FFPC will implement Action scoring for all TDs: any TD scored by a player is scored as 6 pt to that individual player, in addition to any D/ST scoring that may apply. The FFPC scoring system gives 1 point per reception for RBs & WRs but also gives 1.5 points per reception for TEs, putting extra weight to the TE position. The FFPC will automatically correct statistical errors using Elias Sports Bureau. The deadline for lineup submission for each player via web site or email is the scheduled start time of the game in which the player is participating.
Starting roster is 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D/ST and 2 Flex Players (RB/WR/TE)
Scoring system:
- 4 pts for passing TDs, 6 pts for all other TDs
- 1 pt for every 20 yards passing
- 1 point for every 10 yards rushing or receiving
- 1 pt per reception for RBs and WRs
- 1 .5 pt per reception for TEs
- 3 points for every FG of 1 – 30 yards plus .1 point for every yard thereafter
- 1 pt for D/ST sack, 2 pts for all turnovers
- 6 pts for all D/ST touchdowns
- 5 pts for every safety
- 12 points for every shutout
- 8 points for allowing between 1- 6 points
- 5 points for allowing between 7 – 10 points
League Software: MyFantasyLeague.com the official league management software for the FFPC. The MFL software will automatically use the starting lineup from the previous week should a new starting lineup not be submitted.
