About the FFPC Team
Our dedicated staff.
Running the FFPC isn’t work. It’s a labor of love for all of us. This isn’t a corporation, it’s a family. Helping our players, answering questions, solving problems, caring about everything you do. These are the core principles of our company.
Personal: I’m 48 years old and live in New York City with my wife and two boys, ages 9 and 12.
At The FFPC: My main responsibilities at the FFPC involve all fiduciary duties as well as day to day operations of the business. I collaborate with Chris and Eric in resolving customer service questions, processing prizes and responding to inquiries. I work directly with our Las Vegas venue partners, negotiating and planning the yearly FFPC live events. One of the more enjoyable of my duties is discussing the business side of high stakes fantasy sports with Dave as well as planning the future of the FFPC. I also spend a lot of time on the FFPC message boards, interacting with players, which I have never considered as “work”.
Fantasy Football: After playing in various free local leagues, I joined my first money league in 2000 which had a $500 entry fee. Since then, playing high stakes fantasy football has been my greatest hobby. I can say that I have faired fairly well in the national contests, with multiple finishes in the money and among the top of the leaderboards. My greatest fantasy football fustration is not being able to play in the FFPC.
Hobbies/Interests: Living in NYC most of my life, I’ve always been a huge fan of the Giants, Mets, Knicks and Rangers. I enjoy following politics, however painful it may be at times. My grandfather passed on an interest in history to me so most of my reading is non-fiction and biographies. I’m a wrist watch aficionado and have always had a love affair with American muscle cars since I first bought a 1977 Firebird when I was 17 years old.
Favorite Quote: “You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.” — Winston Churchill
Personal: I’m 42 years old and live in Appleton, WI with my wife and two daughters, ages 9 and 8.
At The FFPC: Like everyone at the FFPC, I wear many hats. You will find me as the league commissioner for all FFPC leagues. I manage and coordinate live facilitators for over 500 online drafts annually and commish drafts on occasion. I handle customer service as it relates to rules, scoring, and general inquiries. I work with RTSports for league setup and scheduling. I also handle FFPC marketing, search engine optimization and paid search advertising. I coordinate the FFPC web site functionality and design. At the live events in Las Vegas, I help in any way possible, often assisting the online players that are drafting remotely. Lastly, Alex and I love to collaborate on FFPC business strategy together and enjoy the challenge of the high stakes fantasy sports industry.
Fantasy Football: I got this in this business due to my passion for the NFL and fantasy football. Other than making a point to avoid pregame shows, I still have that passion and love NFL Sundays. The time involved in working with the FFPC has reduced the number of leagues I can play, but I never miss the annual pilgrimage to Kentucky in August to play in Ferrell Elliott’s contest. I also enjoy playing in multiple dynasty leagues, though I still don’t pull the trigger on trades often enough.
Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy weight training, exercise and nutrition. I like to read during my rare downtimes. I embrace the day-to-day challenge of running a business, whether it is the FFPC or in other areas. I enjoy vacations with my family and our frequent trips to Disneyworld in Florida. When it comes to music, I listen to old school hip-hop and not a whole lot else.
Personal: Age 45 (when I started here in 2009. I was 45, I have chosen to stay the same), married with 2 daughters, Aimee (27) & Courtney (24) & 4 year old Pit Bull, Lucy & 2 year old Pit Bull, Driftin.
Business: Fantasy Sports Championship, aka original 100% functioning WCOFF from 2003-2009. Prior to that Manager of family business, Gehring Pumps from 1988-2005. I also currently do SEO for Draftsharks.com and manage a vacation home, Cayuga Sunrise.
At The FFPC: Customer Service for Player Registration. Answer emails forwarded by Dave. Talk to Alex at 11am during the off season, and 11pm during the season. Process award checks!
Hobbies: I was a soccer & lacrosse mom! Aimee played at University of Rhode Island from 2003-2007, Courtney played lacrosse at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. from 2007-2011. Aimee is back in Rochester and is a special ed teacher at Bright Start, Courtney remained in Pittsburgh and works at The Resumator. Proud parent of two kids off the Lambert payroll!
Other Hobbies: I love to travel, I plan on doing a lot more. I have a bucket list that I will start working on. Currently traveling back and forth to Pittsburgh to visit Courtney every 4-5 weeks keeps me happy. I also enjoy spending time with my family. This usually involves attending sporting events. All Lambert’s are jocks. Part of my bucket list is taking my Mom to places she has not been. First trip, Knicks game in NYC April 2013! I also enjoy working with Fantasy Football participants and the friendships it has created for me.
Personal: I’m 34 years old and live in Appleton, WI with my wife and son.
At The FFPC: Priority number one for me at the FFPC is running the Fantasy Baseball Players Championship (FBPC). I am the league commissioner for all FBPC Main Event, satellite and draft experts leagues. In addition to overseeing all registrations, league set-ups and scheduling with RTSports there, I also handle all day-to-day customer service inquiries regarding rules and all other things baseball-related. As far as the football side of things go, I am the online draft commissioner for about 150 FFPC and Footballguys Players Championship leagues every year. At the FFPC’s live event in Las Vegas, you can find me wearing my vintage 1970s suit playing the role of legendary world-renowned journalist Don Erickson, covering all of the FFPC happenings on film.
Fantasy Football: I started playing fantasy baseball at age 12 and have never taken a year off. This passion led me to fantasy football at age 15, and now thanks to fantasy basketball, I have been playing fantasy sports year round for more than a decade. Football is still king, though, and last year I launched a weekly podcast called The High Stakes Fantasy Football Hour with co-host Dave Gerczak (downloadable on iTunes). Because it allows me to pick the brains of the best fantasy football players in the world every Friday night at 10/9 Central, it has become my favorite time of the week. Despite all of this advice, I still seem to manage to screw up my teams on a nearly annual basis. I also need to mention that my favorite fantasy football live event that does not take place in Las Vegas would be the Kentucky State Fantasy Football Championship that takes place in late August every year. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It is so choice.
Hobbies/Interests: My scholarly article on the transition of “Seinfeld” from Season Three to Season Four was published in the Oshkosh Scholar in 2011. I also dabble in radio sports play-by-play for basketball from time to time and always enjoy the NCAA men’s basketball tournament. Like any good Wisconsinite, I also enjoy camping, fishing (traditional and ice) and the great outdoors in general.
